Operating Room Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Some of the daily duties an operating room technician do is to make sure all necessary supplies and surgical tools are sterile and ready, preparing operating rooms, keeping track of all items used during surgery to make sure nothing gets misplaced and many other things which contribute  to the success of surgical operations. ORT's may also take samples recovered during surgery to another part of the hospital, typically the pathology department.
Salary: The current median annual income for ORT's is calculated to be $43,350. Salaries range anywhere from $30,780 to $62,170. Pay varies with experience
Education: A high school diploma or GED satisfies the qualifications for a candidate to enter the necessary training programs and become an ORT. Earning an associate's or bachelor's degree usually makes an operating room more desirable to employers, not to mention better positioned for opportunities that come along over the years.
Demand or need for this profession: There were roughly $98,500 ORT jobs in the u.s in 2012. The number of ORT jobs is expected to grow 30% through 2022.

Reflection: I think I would like to become this. I like that they are very active and helping. I also like that there isn't much education needed.  I would be doing something I enjoy so that's good. It is also a good paying job. I am now interested in this job.
