This saying by William Penn is right. You should always do the right and never the wrong. You should never make your decisions based on other opinions. The only decision that should ever be optional is what is right. Never take into consideration what is wrong. Even if your friends are pressuring you. If everyone thinks what is wrong is right, do not agree with them. It is okay to not be part of that group because what they’re doing is wrong. Also if everyone thinks doing the right thing can be “boring” or “lame”, it is still the right thing and therefore should always be what to do. You should never change your opinion on something because of friends. Always do what is right and don’t follow others who do what is wrong.

                                            A good name is very important. Your name is who you are. It is whether you are a good or bad person. Your name lets people know who you are before they even meet you. I agree with coach k. Everyone knows who coach k is. They know the role he plays and know how successful his career was. They see him as such an inspiring and important person. He is so respected due to his name. The reason why is because he built up his name. He dedicated his time to creating such an important and respected name for himself. His biggest career accomplishment was having the highest amount of wins and although he had so many wins, to him his name is still the most successful thing he has accomplished. You have to work very hard to make your name known, for good reasons.

Global Opportunities: Career in Other Countries

          In the U.K there are many jobs such as accounting, admin, arts, charity, engeneering, and many more. In France there are jobs such as Architecture, Marketing. The jobs that i just mentioned are great careers. They are good paying and offer many opportunities. These are career that you could also have in the U.S. In Vancouver, BC there are jobs such as account managers, sales representative, IT sales Consultant and more in this category. These are some good jobs because you learn from these and as i said before they are jobs that you can also have in the u.s. Another career that is great is an archaeologist. They travel the world and get paid for it.

        I would like to work outside the U.S because i would learn about other countries and their lifestyle. I would choose the Archaeologist career because they study other countries and their past. It would be fun to explore different countries which you don't know about.

Having a good name is important. When people hear your name you would want them to think something good about it. Having a bad reputation will ruin your name. I agree with this statement because having “great riches” doesn’t mean much. Your name is what sets you up. When someone hears your name they’ll instantly have a reaction and it will either be good or bad. That reaction will warn others, who don't know you, about the kind of person you are. If someone says something negative about you and someone hears when that person meets you, they will already not like you.

    Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: Health educators provide and manage health education programs that help individuals, families, and communities to maximize and maintain healthy lifestyles. They promote programs such as training workshops, conferences, and school or community presentations.

Salary: As of 2015 the average annual pay for a health educator is $43,840. The hourly pay is $21.08.

Education: Most jobs for health educators require a bachelor's degree at minimum. Employers may prefer candidates who also are Certified Health Education Specialist. In some cases they’ll require a master's degree.  

Demand for this profession: The expected growth for this occupation is %13. This growth is expected to occur from 2014 to 2024.

I dont think i would like to be in this. The reason is because it doesn't interest me.

 Healthcare Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: Health care administrators usually work in an office within a hospital, group medical practice, behavioral health, or nursing home. They spend lots of time outside the office speaking with people in different environments. A healthcare administrator can affect financial, staffing, and operational decisions.

Salary: The average pay for an entry level healthcare administrator is $56,369 per year. The range is between $34,814-$88,667. This amount doesn't include bonuses. Although, a healthcare administrator can earn up to $10,626 in bonuses.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration is a typical requirement. Higher-level health care administration have a masters degree in field such as public health and business.

Demand for this profession: There is a job growth for healthcare administrators of %23 through 2022. This is more than double the %11 growth expected for other jobs. It is expected that there will be 1.2 million new health care workers though 2022.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be this? Why? Why not?

I don’t think i would like to be this. The reason why i wouldn’t like it is because i wouldn't want to be in an office for a long time of the day. Although there are some things i do like of this career. Something i like is that they go out to see other environments to try to help people and improve the surrounds to help it become healthier.

I agree with this saying. If you believe in something you have to make others listen. You may be the only one but that's fine because if it's something that you truly care for it doesn't matter. If others are going to do something that is wrong, don’t be a part of it. You can’t let others influence you. You have to be a person who chooses the right. Make a stand for yourself and do whats right. Speak up. Do what you believe in. It's important to focus and not mess up your path just to have some fun. This can include being friends with the wrong people.

Child Psychiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychiatrist are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Psychiatrists can treat both children and adults. Psychiatrist who specialize in children and teens have more training in mental health and developmental disorders. These doctors can diagnose conditions , provide medication and provide psychotherapy. They can also anxiety and depression which can occur a lot in children and teens.

Salary: The annual average salary for child psychiatrist in 2015 was $193,680. In other states and location the range changes very much. The amount of money made can also depend on how much time a person has spent in this career.

Education: This career requires earning a doctoral degree in medicine. A bachelor’s degree in biology, anatomy, chemistry or a pre-med program is recommended to prepare for entering medical school. They must complete medical school and must also complete a residency and fellowship and pass exams to become a licensed doctor.

Demand for this profession: There is an expected 15 percent job growth between 2014 to 2024. The number of job openings are growing due to the need of these medical facilities.

I would like to have a job in this career. The reason i like it is because you get to help small kids who are struggling or going through something. You would be lots of help which  like. These little kids don't know much and are confused and don't know what to think and you’d be there to help. As well with teens they can be going through depression or something and you would help them out a lot.

When you choose the right you are making the best out of yourself. Choosing the right will also make you a champion because you are being a great person. You are making a great human out of yourself. When you choose the right everything will be good and right. Choosing the right will always be the right way to go. You will feel good about choosing the right and you will feel like you’ve accomplished something. Someone who chooses to be a ctr person is a champion. And they are making the best out of themselves which is why i agree with this quote.

  Environmental Health Specialist  

Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental health specialist monitor health and safety conditions in residential, industrial, commercial and recreational settings. People who work as environmental health specialist can also be called an environmental health or safety inspector, or a health and safety specialist. Their main responsibility is to determine the existence of possible health hazards and to take steps to correct them. Their job includes checking plant and factories for pollution or industrial waste.

Salary: The range of salary for an environmental health specialist is between $37,300-$57,551 a year. This number changes depending on location. The number also changes depending on whether it is a full time job.

Education: Most positions for an environmental health specialist requires at least a bachelor's degree. Coursework in chemistry, biology, public health, physical sciences, and environmental engineering is needed. If you want to work for the government you must complete a certification course administered by the local, state, or federal agency.

Demand for this profession: The job outlook for this career is expected to have a 11 percent job growth from 2014 to 2024. This is faster than average.

I think that i would like to be one. I like this career because you get to help others. You see if there are health hazards which would hurt people. By having this job you can help people prevent getting sick.

I agree with Mr.Hansen is this statement. When you set a goal you have to go get it. You don’t set goals to not do them. Setting goals is to determine when and how you’ll get something. You have to do what you set your mindset to. Not only that but accomplishing them will make you feel proud of yourself. When setting goals you shouldn't be thinking “oh maybe i’ll get it”, no its thinking “i will get it”. Setting and accomplishing goals shows the kind of person you are. It shows that you are someone who actually does what they say they’ll do. And if you don't do it, it also shows that you are someone lazy. Someone who doesn’t mean what say and aren't true  to their word. You must always be true to what you say and accomplish your goals.

Columbus Day

This holiday occurs in many countries in the Americas. Columbus day became an official holiday in Colorado in 1906. It became a federal holiday in the United States in 1937. Columbus day is used to teach ideals of patriotism. Columbus day celebrates the landing of Christopher Columbus in a new world on October 12,1942. This holiday honors both Columbus’ achievements and celebrates the Italian-American heritage. Columbus set a route to China through a western sea route, instead he landed in the Bahamas. He became the first European to explore the Americas. Later that month he landed in Cuba which was believed to be china. In December the expedition found Hispaniola which he thought was Japan. There he established Spain's first colony with 39 of his men. He returned to Spain in March 1943 in triumph, bearing gold, spices and “Indian” captives.

Reflection: I think that this was a very successful man. He guided men to countries they didn't know. They were able to leave their home, go to a whole different country and explore it. They were able to come back feeling “triumph”. I think that's why he was such an important person. Because he guided 39 men into somewhere they didn't know. They had very limited resources and were able to come back home. Although i think that it was wrong that they intruded a person's territory and claim it to be there's. Not only that but he took some of them captive and took them to their own land for their own pleasures which was wrong. This was their land and they decided to come, take their land and their people.

                                            Obedience

At first being obedient can be a hassle. It isn't something you're used to. At first it can be an “irritation”. This is why he says this. You can find it hard to do the right thing and be obedient with it. Overtime it’ll become easier. When you stop thinking of being obedient as a bad thing and start thinking it’s good, it will bring good things. It will start paying off. It can bring you things like material things but it can also bring you knowledge. It will bring you farther in life. It can take you to a peaceful and happy mindset. For example, being good in your job can bring you a higher level or it can bring you more friends. It can also bring you happiness, knowing that you’re doing good. This is how it will become a building block.It will bring you higher up. Not being obedient will only bring you down. It’ll just take you lower.

Surgeon

                                          

                                             Duties and Responsibilities

A surgeon is responsible for the preoperative diagnosis of the patient. Following that, is performing the operation. They then provide the patient with postoperative surgical care and treatment. Surgeons are also looked at as the leader of the surgical team. Surgeons make important decisions on the patient's health and safety. They update their patients profile. Also they can address and answer any questions that patients have.

                                                              Salary

Wages for surgeons are among the highest of all occupations. The median annual salary for surgeons as of August 29, 2016, is a range of $305,479-$428,714.Although this number depends on many factors. Such as location, education, years of experience, and performance.

                                                          Education

The first step into becoming a surgeon is completing medical school. Then they enter a residency program in their specialty of interest. It usually takes place in a hospital and varies in duration. The program lasts between 3 to 8 years, depending on their specialty.

                                                 Demand for this career

There is an expected job growth of 18 percent from 2012 to 2022. The job growth will occur due to the expansion of healthcare industries. Medical schools are also increasing their enrollment based on the demand of this career.

             Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I would like to be one. This seems like an interesting career to me because of the role that it plays. It’s a really important role. Surgeons are needed so much today and are so much help to their patients. They can literally save lives. Although the fact that it’s a really important role is kinda scary. But it is a really good paying job and there are many openings which is good. All the school you would go through would be worth it.
