Class Evaluation
One thing i liked about this class was how we learned to become better people. Although it is a computers class we still learned things that involved the computer but also becoming a better self. I also learned more on how to use the computer and typing. All the time spent on typing tutors really did help.We learned so much about choosing the right and learned about right from wrong. This possibly helped people and inspired them to be someone who would make them proud.

Something that i did not like about the class was the amount of work. Sometimes it was way too much. For example we would do a whole report and reflection on a career. Then we would have to do a student success statement. And also sometimes we'd have to reflect on a video that we watched. I can understand why we would do so much but it was just tiring. I think that this was why some people did not try in their reports and got low scores. Also we would not get enough time to complete these assignments. This would honestly be frustrating because you try to come to with a good reflection or report but would not get enough time and it comes out bad.

Recommendations I have for this class would be to make it fun. A lot of the time i hear complaints about people not wanting to come to this class because it can be boring. Sometimes it can be true. Something that would make this class better would be if we could choose our own seats. I understand that we aren't allowed to because some people talk too much but it is unfair to those who don't. We should at least get the opportunity and only those who are not responsible should be changed. Not everyone should take the blame for those responsible.

A highlight for me in the class was the day in which we were able to communicate with the teacher. We were talking and asking so much questions that time went by so fast. The class was over before we knew it. This was a fun day because we got to know more about the teacher. We didn't just feel like if we were doing work. We learned about why the teacher had such a strong believe in choosing the right. This helped others too. This made them realize the motives and actually believed in it.

Yes i did do my best in this class. When we had to do reflections i really did give my personal opinion. I spoke what was on mind and was honest. I tried to write as much as i could. Although sometimes it was hard. It can be hard to think about something and have an immediate response to it. This was why it was difficult. Putting that aside, i still tried. I tried to think beyond the point because i knew everyone would say the same thing.

Yes I do read my life planning goals. This was something that really helped me personally. It made me realize that in life you need to have goals. You need to have goals because you need to know what you want and have to do.  Not only that but by when. You need to know where you want to go in life. How far you plan to succeed and how will you do it. This journal became something very important to me. It really is like you are planning out your life which is very important, at least to me.

At first being a CTR person was something i didn't care for. When it was first introduced to me all i thought was i dont care what do i need this for. Although now my mind has changed. After hearing and reading about all these Ctr related things i can see why it is so important. You have to be a CTR person in order for good things to happen in your life. If you are someone who chooses the wrong your life will be a mess. I can see now why being someone who chooses the right is important.

Honesty- You Better Believe It!
The video that we watched was about honesty. It teaches that lying and cheating is never good. In one situation a high school class was taking a test. As they were doing it, one girl asked the other what was the answer to that problem. The other girl was thinking what do yo do. She then shakes her head and the other girl understood she did not want to give her the answer. This was something good because the girl that was cheating was inspired not to. She understood that it was not good. The other situation occurred in medical school. The professor gave the tests to students and left. Soon everyone started taking out cheat papers. One student had the courage to stand up and tell the class that he would report if he continued to see those cheat papers. Everyone began putting them away. This inspired the class because they were the class with highest graduation rate.

“When you tell one lie, it leads to another.” Paul Hatch

I agree with what Paul Hatch is saying. Once you being to lie, you won’t stop. It will become a habit, a bad one. Lying is bad because you are betraying the person you are telling the lie to. If they find out you lied to them they will never be able to trust you again. You wouldn’t like being lied to. So don’t do it yourself. When you first begin to lie it start with a little. It’s nothing wrong, nothing bad happened because of that lie. So then you begin to lie more and more. Not only are you beginning to lie more but they are becoming bigger lies. Ones that cause damage. By the time you decide it is best to stop lying you have gone too far. No one will think they can trust you, you won’t even be able to trust yourself.

Patrick Kearon ; The Sting of a Scorpion

Patrick's story is about how being disobedient taught him a lesson. This story begins on a vacation trip in the desert. As Patrick decides to go on a walk his parents tell him to put on shoes. Patrick being lazy and rebellious decides that flip flops would do. As he says nothing would happen, it was just a little walk. As he is walking he feels a sting on his foot. He looks down and there is a scorpion. The pain becomes worse and he begins to scream for help. His parents hear and run to him. They take him to the hospital and are trying to get the as fast as possible. But the nearest hospital is about  2 hours away. After this day Patrick realizes that he should have listened to his parents. He realizes what his actions cost him. He ruined his family’s trips and got stung. This story teaches us that we must always obey parents. They know more than us. It always shows respect to listen and do what they say.

                                                   “Always do right.”
Mark Twain
I agree with what mark twain is saying. You must ALWAYS do what is right. Even if you are not getting anything in return. What you will always get is the feeling and thought of knowing that you did what was right. Not always will you get a material object in return. When you do not do what is right it will be in your conscience. Also what you give you receive. So for example you can find a phone and by doing what's right you will return it. When you choose the wrong you will keep it for yourself or maybe sell it and get money. Now let’s say you lost your phone. You would want the person to do what's right and return it. So you have to do for others how you would want them to do for you.

                              Student Success Statement
“It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company.”
                                                                             -unknown
I totally agree with this statement. You have to put yourself first in situations like this. You have to think whether being part in a group of friends who don't do anything, how will it benefit you. You will get nothing out of making bad choices with them. When you put yourself first you will see that it is better to be alone. To be alone making good choices. Focusing on school and other important stuff that will only benefit. In the long run hanging out with those people will make you realize how many bad decisions you made. You can get in trouble or just not do anything productive. You will end up unsuccessful in life, regretting all those choices. On the other if you are by yourself and get stuff done and be productive you will have a very successful life. You will never regret that choice. Because now you are where you are. It might have been hard to leave those friends or to not get involved with those type of people. Since you knew better you are doing better than they are. You did it by doing what was right. This goes to back choosing the right. You must think of how your life will be in the future and not in the moment. Of course many people would love to be out partying and having fun rather than staying in doing homework. But these stay in nights will pay off. You  will not regret because the life you have now is all thanks to what you did earlier on to get there. It is your choice. What would you rather be, a successful person with their own home and career, or someone living in their parents house unable to contribute to their family or even worse being homeless?

World War II
World war 2 lasted from 1939 to 1945. It was fought in Europe, in Russia, North Africa and in Asia. World war 2 was fought between two groups of countries. On one side was Germany, Italy, and Japan.  On the other side were the allies. This group consisted of Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China, and The United States Of America. Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean, others also occurred in places as far as Madagascar and the Aleutian Islands. Countries such as Poland, China, Russia, and Germany saw their territories directly involved in the war and suffered terribly. Other countries such as the United States and Canada were far from the place of war but still fought a robust home front providing war goods for their men abroad. On December 7, 1941 Japan bombs pearl harbor. They attack the US naval base at Pearl Harbor. This attack led to FDR asking congress to declare war on Japan on December 8,1941. Another event that happened during world war 2 was the holocaust. This was the murder of approximately 6 million Jews by the Nazis. The Nazis who came to power in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were “racially superior” and that Jews were unworthy of life. During this era the Nazis targeted other groups because of their perceived “racial inferiority”. In 1933 the Jewish population of Europe stood at over nine million. By 1944 close to two out of every 3 European Jews had been killed as part of the “Final Solution”, the Nazi policy to murder the Jew of Europe.

One way that we honor world war 2 is by donating to charities that help them and their families out. When seeing someone who was a part of this time we should say thank you. Not everyone does this and it shows respect towards them. After all that they have been through it will please them to hear someone say thank you since hardly anyone does this. Another can be to pay for them when seeing them at a restaurant or elsewhere. They may be low on money because it is hard for therm to get jobs. It is possible that they are still traumatized from what they have seen and are unable to get jobs.

Challenges Teens Face Today
The most common challenges that teens face today are self esteem and body image, stress, bullying, depression, cyber addiction, drinking and smoking, teen pregnancy, underage sex, child abuse, peer-pressure and competition, and eating disorders. All these are somehow connected to one another. Like a “chain reaction”. This connection starts with teens feeling low self-esteem due to their body image. This leads to eating disorders. They begin to feel stressed and are exposed to peer pressure and can experience child abuse at home. In order to relieve this stress some teens get involved in smoking and drinking. Other teens get into video games, running away, and chatting online with strangers. This becomes an addiction. They can become targets to online predators. Teens who cannot find love and comfort at home or school build relationships with other people. This can lead to underage sex and possible teens pregnancy. Other teens can become addicted to drugs, others harm themselves, and others turn to crime. Challenges that i personally face aren't huge ones. Stress is something that occurs a lot. The reason for that stress is school, which really isn't bad because it’s for a good cause. To better myself. The way i deal with this is by taking in between breaks when doing homework and such. Having other interest such as hobbies and sports also helps a lot with stress. Another challenge that i can face sometimes is peer-pressure. I do have some friends who can sometimes do bad things and want me to be included. I know right from wrong so i am able to stop myself from participating in certain things.Being a CTR person is something that really does help with certain challenges. When you choose the right you don't get yourself into any trouble. You keep yourself on the right track. You want what is wrong and right so you can stop yourself from getting into anything bad. You are aware of your actions unlike others. The way you can help other teens overcome their challenges is by proving them with guidance. Since you know what is right you lead them. Give them your opinions. They are in a place where they are unaware of their choices and can really use help.
Reflection: What is the greatest need that teens have?

I think that what teens have a need for most is attention. All the most common challenges teens face today are because they aren't receiving much attention at home. If they felt that they had attention and love and support most of these things would not happen. I'm sure every teen who faces those problems wants attention. They want it so much and are showing it with those actions yet adults fail to realize it. They realize when it's far too late, when their is already so much damage.

Student Success Statement
“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”
                                                                 -President John F. Kennedy
I agree with what Kennedy is saying. When you are physically fit your brain can be more active. You are more aware of your actions. This is how you have creative intellectual activity. Since you are being both active and using your brain. If you are someone who stays home all day and does nothing but sit and sleep or watch TV and eat you will be slow physically. Not only that but it will have the same effect on your brain. It will react slow as well. If you are someone who is fit and works out and is active that will the same effect on your brain. This however is good unlike the other.
