Enthusiasm

Student Success Statement
“Enthusiasm makes the difference.” -Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
I think that this is a wonderful quote. I agree with what it is saying. If you do not have the enthusiasm for what you are doing then why do it? You will get nowhere by this. You can’t do something and expect for it to have a good output in you aren’t putting in the work for it. If you are doing something without wanting to do it, it will show in the result product. When you have the enthusiasm your final product will result great. You can’t produce something great without the effort. This is why we must always have a passion for what it is we do. Having enthusiasm also goes for attitude. If you have no enthusiasm people will get bored of you. You wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who has no enthusiasm and is no fun, so don’t be that person.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what’s right.” -Dean Smith
All the time that we was coaching, Dean Smith based everything on one thing. All he wanted was to do what was right. As he said himself, he wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. Everything that he did and all the choices he made led him to that. This comes to show that when you do what’s right you will receive something in return. When you do what is right all you will receive in return are good things. You have be someone who chooses the right at all time. Although choosing the right also means that you’re doing what’s right knowing that you will not receive anything in return. You can’t only do something when you want something in return. This is what Dean Smith taught us. All along his career he wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. He was doing what was right for his team. He was trying to help them. Not himself. He did things that impacted his students in a good way. With his passing they were all very sad. The whole world knew about Dean Smith. They honored his memory with a great tribute. He is a true example of someone who chose the right and was rewarded greatly for that.

“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma (good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.” Dr. Randy Pausch
I agree with what he is saying. If you do right, right will come to you. If you do wrong, wrong will come to you. So if you lead your life the right way everything will be good. I do believe in karma. What it means is that you get what you give. For example if you act kind towards someone you will receive that kindness back. If you give someone a bad attitude you will get that back too. I don't think you’d like that. That's why you must always at right towards everyone and you will receive it back. This is why he says that you must lead your life the right way. So that karma will be the one to give you good things in return.
Traveling
What is your passion and why is it a passion of yours?  This is my passion because i love just looking and admiring landscape which i think may be called sightseeing. It is so beautiful and the most purest thing ever because it isn't modified or something man made which i live. This is my absolute favorite thing to do.
How can you make this passion become your profession? I think that a way to turn this into a profession can be for it to also be photography. I'm not sure if it already is something people do although I'm pretty sure it is. I wouldn’t mind because that is also something i like to do.
What education is required? A job that is available for something similar is a wedding photographer. They travel to the place that the people choose. I think that this is a good job. It seems very fun and you get to explore.
What skills, talents and attitude are required? There isn't much skills that you need. I think that the only thing you need is to like what you’re doing. You can be doing it if it's not something you like. This applies for all jobs and careers.
Reflection? What are you willing to do in order to make your passion your profession?
This is a passion of mines but I'm not sure it would be my lifetime career. I wouldn’t like to make this a career because it would involve having to get a job that involves doing this but not just traveling alone. I’d like to have a career in the medical field that pays good so that from there i can earn money and travel.

Student Success Statement
“Of all the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the BODY, the MIND, and above all the CHARACTER, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.” -Theodore Roosevelt
I agree with Roosevelt. It is our duty to educate ourselves or to seek ways to get educated. Without education we aren’t worth much. Educating our mind is very important. We increase our knowledge by doing so. By having more knowledge we are creating more opportunities for ourselves. We not only have to educate our mind but also the body and character. What i take by “educating our body” is that we know how to manage it. We know what will damage it and what will make it better. We use our knowledge to manage what goes into our body. I think that is what educating the body is. By educating character i think it is to become the bigger person in certain situations. That no matter what you are thinking wise.

"Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being." -Mr. C.S.Haymore

I %100 agree with Mr. Haymore. You must always take care of your own self and body. You need responsibility in order to do this. For example you take responsibility in choosing not to smoke. Which is a good choice. Or when you do choose to smoke you are making a bad choice. Not only that but you are also harming yourself. With every choice that you make you are affecting your body, mind, and spirit. Our daily choices affect these. This is why me must always be responsible when making choices. They affect every aspect of our life.

"Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goals of true education."
Martin Luther King Jr
This quote by martin Luther king Jr is something that everyone should go by. You can't live your life by just one of these or by none. You can be intelligent and have no or little character. Without having that character, the person you are isn't worth much. People won't respect you because you have no character. So they are basically treating you the way you are treating them. Or you can have character but have no intelligence. Although you won't be able to do much with that character because you don't have the intelligence to know what to do with it. It is important in life to have a good amount of both. You need both to be successful in life. These two things will guide you and you will be able to make decisions and not only decisions but the right ones as well. This is such an important quote. Not only because of what it says but also because the person who said it was so important. He is the definition of having intelligence and character, and knowing how to manage it.

“We need the courage to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage to STOP what we shouldn’t do.” Richard L. Evans

I agree what Mr. Evans is saying. We know what is the right thing to do. We just need to courage to act upon it. We need this courage because although it's the right thing to do, we sometimes don't want that. Or its “cool”. The same goes for having the courage to stop what we shouldn't do. Deep down we know that it is wrong. We try to stay in denial but our conscience is much stronger. All you need is the courage to stop it. Courage is what gets us through. It is what makes our decisions. We need that courage for every choice and risk we take.
Christmas/Winter Break
During winter break something i did a lot was sleep in. It felt really good to not have to wake up early to have to come to school. The rest was needed. On christmas eve i stayed home with my family. When my mom and brother came out of work we bought food. We played board games in order to pass time. Once the clock struck 12 we all said merry christmas to one another. Then we began to open gifts. Time went by so fast so it was very late when we were finished opening gifts. One place i went was to Las Vegas. We left on New Year's eve early in the day so that we can get there on time to countdown. We got to las vegas around 6 or 7. When we got to my aunt's house we ate and rested. Around 9 we all started getting ready so that we can walk down the strip. Once we found a good spot to have a nice view at midnight, we waited. It was so fun to countdown and to watch the fireworks go off at 12. On New Year's day i went with my family to circus circus there in vegas. The day after we came back. Other things i did was hang out with my friends and family.Things we did was go eat or to starbucks and shopping as well. It was a really nice winter break that i needed and enjoyed.
